What to Do Next

No need to tidy up "Artistic License" lets me edit out the garbage cans, slipped shingles and any shrubs in need of a good pruning (unless you like it that way!)

Send me your photos by email or snail mail. The more images I have - taken from different angles – the better idea of the layout of the house and garden I can get. Send close-up shots of any features important to include such as lamps, front doors, benches etc.

I will call you, once I receive the images to discuss what you have in mind and to get a feeling for why this place holds a special place in your heart.

You get to approve the sketch outlining the composition; patterns of light and dark and indicating dominant colors. You can make any changes you wish to the sketch before I start on your picture.

Then I get coloring.

You will then appraise the drawing in it's final stages, suggesting any necessary minor adjustments, before I sign it.

I mail your picture

The whole process can take a few weeks, depending on how busy I am. Commissions really build up around the holidays - Christmas, Valentine's etc - so please order early. Sketch and drawing approvals will usually be by email. I can snail mail photocopies, but this means a longer time-scale.
