Fall Flourish at the Farmer's Market

I am off to sell my wares at the Morris Plains Farmer's Market today. Or rather to sit in the warm fall sunshine and enjoy nibbling on the last of the summer fruits.

Come say howdy and pick up some crusty bread, fresh mozzerella, and home made pie as well as your onions.

Perfectly Broken

Luckily we only have a few minor scrapes and dings after Irene's visit this weekend. Nothing major broken And so far only a few annoying electrical blips...but I will keep the emergency lights handy until the ground dries out.

Nestling in the Salad Box

Smearing the wet paint to make the see-through plastic box and then laying on fresh clean paint for those irresistible spiky green vines - I had way too much fun with this one

Slice : No Ice

I'm very fond of this little painting. It was a fun challenge to try to catch that glow as it was lit from behind and to dull the yellow in the shady areas, without making my perfect lemon slice look grubby. You might need to see it in person to fully appreciate the purple and emerald green background, which shimmers like a heat haze. I can almost hear the cicadas singing when I look at this one
